A ROOFING project costing £45,000 has been completed successfully at a North Derbyshire church hall.
Staveley Methodist Church, on Chesterfield Road, used to have an old roof which leaked regularly over the hall’s entrance and crèche.
The improvements have enabled the roof to be re-felted and its water-damaged suspended-ceiling to be replaced, creating a warm, watertight and welcoming entrance.
The project has been paid for through fundraising events held by the church community.
The church also received grants from the All Churches Trust, Viridor Credits and Veolia Environmental Trust who awarded £15,000 through a Landfill Communities Fund.
