a TRAIL of markers and maps is a step closer to being installed at a historic attraction in Sheffield after bosses were handed a £5,000 grant.
The ‘sensory discovery trail’ is planned for Manor Lodge, and will help to direct visitors across the 14-hectare site.
Now funding has been provided for the project by The Veolia Environmental Trust, which gave the grant to social enterprise Green Estate, which runs Manor Lodge.
The trail will also help disabled visitors and people with pushchairs navigate their way across the site, where the Great Sheffield Deer Park once stood.
Veolia have given more than £1 million to projects in South Yorkshire over the last five years.
The money comes from the Landfill Communities Fund, which receives the proceeds of tax credits earned by the waste company.
