A TEENAGER is facing court after being charged with causing £5,000 worth of criminal damage by spraying graffiti tags across Dronfield and Unstone.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged in relation to graffiti sprayed on garages, houses and business premises between December last year and March this year.
He faces seven counts of criminal damage and one of aiding and abetting.
Pc Heather Brown, of Dronfield Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Graffiti is a serious problem that costs a huge amount of time and money to clear up.
“Anyone considering becoming involved in graffiti or any other form of anti-social behaviour should be aware that we will take action against them.”
