DONCASTER is set for a jobs boost after Next announced a graduate jobs scheme at its distribution arm in the borough.
The graduates will be employed by Next Distribution Ltd, at the firm’s Redhouse Site and will spend 12 months launching their careers in logistics by working in Next’s state-of-the-art warehouses in South Yorkshire.
Invest In Doncaster has secured part-funding for the programme and will assist Next with recruitment, pre-employment training and in supporting the graduates on their journey.
The programme will start in April 2013, with recruitment starting this month.
Recent graduates with a 2:2 degree or above who are interested in finding out more about the scheme can attend the launch on Thursday, January 17 between noon and 3pm. The meeting is at Doncaster College’s Hub building, at Churchfield Way in the town centre.

Warehousing and distribution director Simon Kelly said: “As a large employer in the local area we’re keen to offer career prospects to local graduates.”
