The letter from John Bernard King about the saving of the General Post Office makes me feel sorry for him.
A city’s history is founded on its buildings and its people. Without these things a city is nothing. Does he advocate knocking down Stonehenge or burning the Victory?
The Post Office needs to be saved and if I can just tap the ankles of the powers-that-be with my comments I will find it all worthwhile. I dread to think what this city would look like if everybody had the same attitude as Mr King.
