Over 600 Barnsley College students attended Drive for Life workshops held as part of Road Safety Week.
The sessions were put on by a variety of experts from the emergency services and the Driving Instructors’ Association with the aim of influencing the attitude and behaviour of young drivers.
Organiser Lynne Guy said: “Road Safety Week is an ideal time to raise awareness to our students about the importance of becoming safe, focused and considerate drivers.
“During the workshops students take an active part and are shown a number of videos including clips of families affected by accidents to emphasise the real-life consequences.”
PC Lee Beck said: “We cover topics including drink and drug driving, car insurance and speeding.”
