Retired Olympian Becky Adlington showed Sheffield she’s still got it as she shared her expertise with youngsters.
The gold medallist might have hung up her swimming cap but now she’s on a mission to inspire the next generation of sporting stars.
And she picked the city’s Hilton Hotel to launch her new Swim Stars clubs.
The scheme aims to teach every child to swim 25 metres before they leave primary school.
Rebecca, aged 24, has set up three clubs – in Sheffield, Glasgow and London – and hopes to expand the scheme nationwide.
She said: “A lot of people I speak to never learned to swim as children. It really is a case of the earlier, the better.
“It’s about giving children water confidence.”
Sheffield’s Swim Stars is open to children between three and 11.
