MASKS and puppets will bring a theatrical touch to Cannon Hall Museum in Barnsley when a touring exhibition arrives in town.
Behind the Mask is an exhibition from the Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre in Glasgow.
The exhibition includes masks from Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Italy and Greece.
The masks are carved in wood and leather and cast in fibre-glass and have been used in theatres, festivals and rites of passage ceremonies.
Video footage of mask used in theatre and folk festivals accompanies the display.
The exhibition is at Cannon Hall Museum until Saturday, October 9.
