TENANTS and residents are invited to an event where they can give their views on planned Government changes to social housing.
South Yorkshire Tenants’ and Residents’ Network is holding the event between 10am and 12.30pm on Tuesday, August 30, at Barnsley Tenants Resource Centre, in Prospect Street, Barnsley.
Proposed changes range from ending lifelong secure tenancies to giving tenants cashback to organise their own repairs.
Places are limited - call 01709 368 515 or email email@example.com to book.
A new contractor has been appointed to maintain drains on Barnsley’s housing estates, meanwhile.
DrainsAid has taken over the service but there will be no change to the norm, and all repairs should be reported to the hotline on 01226 78 78 78.
