Get set for Civil War in Sheffield city centre...

ROUNDHEADS will clash with Cavaliers as the Civil War is recreated in Sheffield city centre this weekend.

Members of Sheffield-based Molyneux Company of the Queen's Lifeguard will be creating a Living History Camp on Devonshire Green this Saturday.

Company spokesman Wayne Morton said: "As a company we enjoy taking part in battles with hundreds and sometimes even thousands of other re-enactors.

"This is when we join other companies who portray cavalry, foot, artillery and many different civilian roles, which take part all over the country for most of the year.

"It's a family activity that everyone can enjoy together."

The group, based in Sheffield, is always on the look out for new members - with a host of different roles."

You can speak to them this weekend, or join them on Tuesday July 14 at The Pheasant Inn in Barnsley Road, Sheffield Lane Top. Alternatively contact Wayne Morton on 0114 230 5213.
