Cycle network plan for the “outdoor city”. Give it a rest. Living in an area that is always heavily populated by students one of the things you notice in freshers’ week, (and I use the American terminology grudgingly), is the number of pedal pushers who arrive in September and disappear by Christmas.
Living on top of one of the seven hills this unsuspecting road menace knows not what it is letting its self in for.
Sheffield is built on seven big hills, at that it is not a city built for cyclists, so let’s have no more of this claptrap and try and concentrate on what is needed.
Dump these stupid cycle lanes and concentrate on footpaths. Walking is so much safer, millions of students can’t be wrong.
