A new campaign, aimed at getting people more physically active, has launched in the city.
SIV’s new #feelgood campaign is urging everyone in Sheffield, whether they exercise regularly or not, to sign up and take part – and help get Sheffield moving.
The primary objective of SIV, part of the not-for-profit Sheffield City Trust, is to improve the health and wellbeing of Sheffield people by providing facilities for sport and leisure activities. Throughout the campaign, SIV is encouraging people of all ages and abilities in the city to try different sports and activities - including swimming, athletics, golf, ice skating, fitness classes and the gym.
#feelgood is running at numerous venues, including Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, the English Institute of Sport Sheffield, iceSheffield, Hillsborough Leisure Centre, Concord Sports Centre, Heeley Swimming Pool and Springs Leisure Centre, as well as four golf courses - Beauchief, Birley, Tapton Park and Tinsley Park.
