The funeral will take place next week for a former Doncaster councillor.
Pat Mullany, a long-serving Doncaster councillor and former education committee chairman at the authority, died this month at the age of 71.
The funeral service for Mr Mullany, of Kirk Sandall, who represented the Stainforth ward in the 1990s, will take place at Rose Hill Crematorium on Monday at 3pm.
He died on October 5 with his family by his side.
An obituary notice described Mr Mullany as ‘much loved by those close to him’.
His council career ended in disgrace in 1999 when he admitted 11 charges of falsifying his expenses as part of the Donnygate scandal.
He was sentenced to 200 hours’ community service for fraudulently claiming a total of £1,290 between March 1995 and October 1997 in the affair which rocked Doncaster Council and saw a string of high profile councillors jailed over expenses fraud.
Family flowers only by request, with donations to the BHF.
