A GLITTERING occasion arranged by a South Yorkshire jewellers wasn’t just a grand affair – it was a two grand affair.
H L Brown raised the cash by organising a preview evening at Hassop Hall in Derbyshire to celebrate its 150th anniversary.
During the event a diamond bracelet and a pendant were raffled off, raising £2,050.
Proceeds from the sale were split between charities Autism Plus, which received £1,000, and St Luke’s Hospice.
Autism Plus fundraiser Mel Russell said: “We are extremely grateful H L Brown chose our cause to benefit from its celebrations.
“The money will go towards supporting the individuals we work with in Sheffield and Thorne in Doncaster.
“It will assist them go into paid employment and develop work related skills helping them to lead a better quality of life.”
