Fundraisers collected over £400 for charity – by getting all in a spin.

Energetic types took part in a sponsored spinathon at Lakeside Village shopping centre, White Rose Way, to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. Eight-year-old Jack Kirsopp, from Bessacar, was there to cheer everyone on as they completed the six-hour bike challenge.

Jack, who was born with severe and complex health issues, is a regular visitor to Bluebell Wood.

Doncaster Rovers’ Donny Dog and Bluebell Wood’s Fern the Squirrel were among the 20 participants and cash was raised from bucket collections at the centre.

The participants’ sponsorship total is not yet known.
