CLASSIC cars and scooters will be rolling in at a Sheffield working men’s club during a fundraiser to collect money for a cash-strapped youth club.
The Double Six club, Woodseats, has had its Sheffield Council funding slashed, and is facing closure unless it can raise enough money to carry on running.
Local motoring enthusiasts have rallied around and will be showing off classic vehicles including E-type Jaguars at the Woodseats Working Men’s Club on Saturday, while visitors can also admire old fire engines.
Crowds will be entertained by a DJ, face painting and games from 10.30am to 5pm, and musical group Soul Faces are taking to the stage later at 8.30pm.
Chris Lee, club member, said: “We don’t want to see it close,”
