Funding for pool facilities
NEW investment should make a splash at Queen's Park sports centre in Chesterfield, which has secured almost £200,000 to improve swimming facilities.
The money, given to Chesterfield Council by Sport England, will be spent on a movable boom, an electronic auto-time system, a refurbished viewing gallery and new disabled access to the gallery.
An additional 700,000 will also be spent on a new air conditioning system and further grant money has been secured for an ultra violet chlorination unit which will reduce the need for chemicals.
