Young people in Barnsley are set to benefit from fresh funding for Grimethorpe Activity Zone.
A £1,000 grant from construction company Esh Group will fund training to give young people the skills they need to find work.
Grimethorpe Activity Zone works with eight to 25-year-olds in Barnsley to increase opportunities for them to become valued contributors to the community.
It also provides alternative education for young people struggling in school.
David Taylor, GAZ manager said: “On behalf of GAZ I would like to say a big thank you to the Esh Charitable Trust for the funding.
“It will have a huge impact on the services we provide for young people.”
Students are referred to GAZ after being excluded from school or because of their bad behaviour or non-attendance.
