YOU’VE heard of WAGs – now get ready for the SWAGs.
Toni Fryer is one of a group of Soldiers’ Wives and Girlfriends raising money - not to mention eyebrows - with a saucy charity calendar.
Mum-of-two Toni is currently living in Gutersloh, Germany, with husband Cpl Jonathan Parkin, a communications specialist in the Royal Logistic Corps.
In the calendar she features as both Miss September and Miss November - and also makes an appearance in June as part of a group shot.
Toni, a former Chaucer School pupil, said the photo shoot took place at the Sugar Hut, the club made famous by TV reality show The Only Way is Essex.
The models, including a serving female soldier, chose a burlesque theme.
Toni said: “At the end of last year while we were still living in the UK, I decided to do a calendar for a little bit of fun and also to raise money for Help for Heroes.
“We then got posted to Gutersloh, where I met a couple of wives and suggested the idea to them. They thought it was worth a shot so we started planning.”
They travelled back to Essex to make the calendar where they received a helping hand from some of the locals.
“We had three buffed-up, very helpful young lads to model as soldiers, who travelled all the way from Wales for the day!” said Toni.
