ST Luke’s Hospice has received a very special gift from the Freemason’s Grand Charity.
The Grand Charity is the Freemasons’ national good causes campaign and this year it has given £3,838 to Sheffield’s only hospice.
“We are really pleased to be able to support St Luke’s Hospice in this way,” said Freemason Chris Watson.
“The Freemasons Grand Charity is the only organisation that gives to every hospice in the country and, after the National Lottery, we are the biggest donor to good causes nationwide.”
St Luke’s Trust fundraising manager Sue Jackson said: “We are delighted that the Freemasons’ Grand Charity is supporting us so generously.
“This year’s donation is another extremely important contribution to the £4 million-plus we need to raise annually to continue to provide end-of-life care for all the people of Sheffield.”
