Detectives investigating the murder of a Darnall man who was found with stab wounds at his flat have arrested another man.

A 22-year-old man was arrested yesterday and was today in police custody being quizzed by officers.

Mohammed Khalil, aged 42, was taken to hospital after he was found with serious injuries at his flat in Greenland Drive, Darnall, at around 1am on Tuesday, October 21.

He died a short time later.

A post mortem examination revealed that he died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

Connor O’Brien, aged 26, of Jubilee Road, Darnall, has been charged with Mr Khalil’s murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday 7 November.

A 40-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder and possessing an offensive weapon and two 20-year-old men arrested on suspicion of murder remain on police bail.
