A motorbike rider was taken to hospital after a crash on Doncaster’s Racecourse roundabout this morning.

The rider came off his machine at the Leger Way junction and several other drivers stopped to assist before an ambulance took him to hospital. It is not known how badly he was injured.

Police are also investigating a crash in which three people were badly injured on Poplar Road, Skellow, early yesterday.

They were passengers in a panel van which overturned onto its side after colliding with a wall. Two other people in the Renault van escaped injury.

Fire crews assisted paramedics with the casualties.
