A statue of a wolf is due to be unveiled in the playground at Concord Park in Sheffield.

David Blunkett, MP for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough, will officially unveil the sculpture at a special ceremony at the park in Shiregreen, on Friday, January 30, at 1.30pm.

The sculpture has been commissioned by The Friends of Concord Park and Woolley Wood.

It is a memorial to Kath Page, the group’s founder and chairman who died in September 2013, aged 83.

Funding of £3,000 has been awarded from the Ward Pot Small Grants, Sheffield Town Trust and the Graves Trust.
