A former police officer-turned-author visited Sheffield to sign copies of his latest book – all about Yorkshire.
Mike Pannett, who worked in the Met and North Yorkshire police for 20 years, became a full-time author in 2007.
He has published five books about his policing exploits, but his latest hardback ‘Yorkshire’ is a departure from the series.
He said: “It takes readers on a photographic tour of the real-life places depicted in my stories.”
Mike visited Mayfield Books and Gifts’ distribution centre in Handsworth to sign copies of the book.
During his career, Mike worked on riot and murder squads and policed the first poll tax riot in London. He moved to North Yorkshire in 2005 when he began writing about his exploits as a wildlife officer.
He will be signing copies of the book at WHSmith, Meadowhall, on October 26 .
