SHE’S a little ray of sunshine.
That’s how staff at Sheffield’s RSPCA Sheffield Branch describe Sandie.
Animal Care Manager Tony Benham explained that Sandie came to the centre after being cruelly treated by her former owner and says she needed some loving attention to bring her back to her full glory.
He said: “Sandie is a sweet-faced and sunny-natured dog, A tan and white, Staffi cross, we believe she is about fifteen months old.
“She has no known health problems and a fabulous personality.
“She loves life and it’s only her enthusiasm that will need curbing with some continued gentle training – as you would expect with a dog that is still young.
“Sandie loves to run about and learn new things as she is a very bright dog.
“She isn’t nervous and we haven’t spotted anything that she likes to avoid.”
He added: “She’s a good all-round dog just looking for that great new home and family to join.
“She absolutely adores people which means she can get very excitable on meeting them and this is where she will need the most training.
“Sandie seems very good with other dogs and very playful and she may benefit from a playful but sensible canine companion to help her adapt, as she has spent quite a bit of time in kennels.”
Tony said Sandie’s ideal owner would be prepared to train and develop her so she doesn’t get bored or mischievous.
The centre, which is also looking for foster homes, is open every day except Wednesday from 12.30pm until 3.30pm.
