A SHEFFIELD university graduate has become the first woman to be admitted to the roll of solicitors by her mother who is president of the Law Society.
Gabrielle Marie Lee, who studied at the University of Sheffield and University of London, was a trainee at a legal aid firm in Bolton, where she works in advocacy and litigation.
Speaking before the admissions ceremony at the society in Chancery Lane, London, Gabrielle said she was inspired to follow a career in law, in the field of legal aid, by her mother.
She said: “I saw all the work she put in to becoming a solicitor and all the very rewarding work she then carried out. I’ve always been very interested in law, and this interest was definitely sparked through seeing my mum work.”
