A patriotic display of union flags was on show as a Sheffield pub hosted a family fun day to raise funds for wounded troops’ appeal, Help for Heroes.

There was live music, army vehicles on show, a bouncy castle and entertainment at The Strad, Stradbroke.

Kerry Wagstaff, landlady at The Strad, said: “An amazing day was had by all who attended.

“The live bands and performers like 3FBs, Ben Ibbotson, James Gooch and Swansong donated their time and talent free of charge to raise money for our injured soldiers.

“As did Big Al’s Funhouse, Bounce around Sheffield, Champion Hire, AAA Scafolding and Not Just Military.

“We held the event last year too. Help For Heroes is a charity we support and my son is a soldier.
