A DRUG dealer who fell into a garden pond while trying to flee police has been jailed.
Richard Caldwell, aged 35, was sentenced to 30 months behind bars after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin. He was arrested in November 2010 after officers raided his home.
Caldwell ran out of his house in Bassetlaw when officers stormed the property, but when he jumped over a fence he landed in a garden pond and dropped three wraps of heroin, which were seized by police.
In total officers found 22.48g of heroin, with an estimated street value of £3,000, along with drugs paraphernalia and around £6,000 in cash.
He pleaded guilty to the production of a Class B drug and was sentenced to nine months and a further 12 months. In total he will spend four years three months behind bars.
