FIVE people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a Sheffield teenager was found dying in the street.

Police made two further arrests yesterday afternoon, detaining a man and a youth, after arresting two men and a youth on Saturday morning.

The victim, named by locals as Jamie Stuart, aged 19, was found injured by a passer-by on Holgate Avenue, Parson Cross, at 12.30am on Saturday.

He was taken to the Northern General Hospital but later died. A post-mortem test was carried out, but detectives have not yet released the results.

A South Yorkshire police spokesman said formal identification was expected to take place today.

Detectives believe he may have attended a funcation at the White Horse pub on Halifax Road on Friday evening before leaving at 11pm.

He is thought to have been making his way home towards the Ecclesfield area when he was attacked.
