THE first wave of Sheffield bands to play at city festival Tramlines have been announced today.

Favourites The Crookes and The Everley Pregnant Brothers are included in the local line-up.

Acts Hey Sholay, Wet Nuns, Dead Sons, The Violet May, The Hot Soles and Alvarez Kings are also included.

Other big names to play at the festival, from July 20 to 22, include Roots Manuva, We Are Scientists and Ms Dynamite.
