MORE businesses are choosing Sheffield city centre as their prime location, according to a new industry report.

Experts from market leader officebroker.com say there has been a 13 per cent increase in the number of firms entering space in the city in the second quarter of this year, compared to the same three-month period last year.

Companies were also found to be taking nearly three times the space than they did in 2011.

Chris Meredith, head of UK sales at officebroker.com, said: “This appears to be driven by existing companies looking to expand within the city but there has also been an influx of larger businesses moving into the Sheffield office market.”
