A PACKAGING company’s customers have helped it to raise hundreds of pounds for charity.

Samuel Grant, based in Smithy Wood Business Park, has handed over £1,000 to St Luke’s Hospice after encouraging its clients to swap post for email.

The company invited customers to send invoices via the internet.

Julia Allen, branch manager at Samuel Grant in Sheffield, said: “Each invoice that we send by email saves 60p on postage so it’s a great way to raise money for charity. We are really pleased to have raised £1,000 in just four months and would like to thank all the customers who helped us. A number of staff have had family members who have been cared for by the hospice and this is one way to show our gratitude.”
