Firefighters spend three hours tackling Doncaster house fire

Crews have spent more than three hours extinguishing a blaze at a Doncaster property, that is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.

Firefighters were called to a house in Norwood Drive, Bentley at around 2.30pm yesterday afternoon, after a blaze broke out in the property’s loft.

A total of three engines were called out to extinguish the fire.

A South Yorkshire fire and rescue spokesman confirmed that confirmed that the fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault, although investigations are continuing.

Crews left the scene just after 6pm last night.
