A fire was deliberately started under a railway bridge in Killamarsh last night.

Firefighters from Staveley spent around an hour tackling the blaze in an archway after it was reported around midnight.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said wood and plastic was set alight.

South Yorkshire Police and Network Rail have been informed about the incident.
