ARSONISTS were believed to be behind a rubbish fire in a former mining village near Doncaster yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters from Edlington fire station were sent out to Wadworth Street in Denaby after the blaze was spotted by a member of the public.

Officers turned a hose reel on the flames to put out the blaze, and the cause was logged as deliberate.
