FIRE service bosses are hoping to call on carers across Doncaster to help make homes in the borough safer.
Officers from Doncaster fire station will be holding an event at the Doncaster Partnership for Carers Centre, on Church Lane, Bessacarr, to highlight the issue of fire safety in the home.
Station manager Tony Carlin said: “Carers are a vitally important, and sometimes our only, link to some of the most vulnerable people in our society. By putting on this free event, we hope to educate carers about the ways in which we can help them keep a loved one safe and in turn work towards further reducing house fires and injuries in Doncaster.”
The event starts at 10am.
