Firecrews donned breathing apparatus to fight a blaze which broke out in a house in Balby.

Two fire crews from Doncaster Fire Station, and one from Adwick, went to the house on Great Central Avenue, after the kitchen fire started through a cooker on Saturday evening.

Officers were on the scene for an hour and put the cause down as accidental. No one was injured.
