South Yorkshire firefighters were called out to deal with three small fires – two started deliberately.
Aston Park firefighters were called to deal with a rubbish fire in Leicester Drive, Dinnington, on Thursday, at 8.15pm.
The blaze is believed to have been started deliberately on open land.
Then, at 9pm, Elm Lane fire crews were called to Deep Lane, Shiregreen, after rubbish was set alight in woodland.
The fire was started deliberately and crews put out the flames using water backpacks, a fire service spokeswoman said.
Crews from Tankersley and Barnsley stations were called to a shed fire in Shaftesbury Drive, Hoyland.
They were called at 12.45am yesterday and spent 20 minutes there.
