Community and voluntary groups can find out more about how they can apply for up to £150,000 of funding from the fire service.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue is hosting four events across the region to enable groups to find out more about the second round of a funding scheme.
The events, starting in Sheffield on Monday, February 23, will give people more information about the £2million Safer and Stronger Communities Reserve.
Groups will be able to bid for as little as £5,000, or as much as £150,000, to support project which reduce injuries, save lives and make South Yorkshire a safer place to live and work.
Key objectives for the fund include prioritising the most vulnerable, collaboration and data sharing.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue wants dozens of registered charities, community organisations and partner agencies to come forward and apply for grants from the fund, which has been set aside from its governing Fire Authority’s reserves.
A total of £500,000 was awarded to 19 different bidding organisations, during the first round of funding last year,
Information events are being held at South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, Eyre Street, Sheffield on Monday, February 23, Doncaster Knights RFC, Castle Park. Armthorpe Road, Doncaster on Thursday, February 26, The Core, Voluntary Action Barnsley, County Way, Barnsley on Monday, March 2 and at the Carlton Park Hotel, Moorgate Road, Rotherham on Thursday, March 5. Each event runs from 10am to 12pm, with registration from 9.30am and a networking lunch after.
