Film fan wins Inception world premier tickets - VIDEO

SHEFFIELD film fan Jim Goddard is celebrating after he used his super-sleuth skills to win a pair of VIP tickets to the London world premiere of Inception, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Warner Brothers offered the transport, accommodation and tickets prize to the first person who could track down The Extractor, one of the film's main characters, using clues on Facebook.

Jim knew just where to head when he saw a clue saying: "This see-through palace, a glass domed Eden built in the naughties, is always warm."

Armed with his trusty A to Z, with pal Steve Walton at base on his computer as his "eyes and ears", made a dash for Sheffield's Winter Garden.

And inside he claimed the dream tickets after approaching The Extractor with the password:"My mind is the scene of the crime."

Jim, aged 25, of Button Hill, Ecclesall, who will take Steve with him, came across the competition details online while looking at a web site for the film's director, Dark Knight film-maker Chris Nolan.

Nolan will be at the world premiere, along with stars such as Michael Caine and DiCaprio, who plays The Extractor, skilled in the art of stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state.

"I had already made my way to the city centre because I thought it might start here. I actually saw The Extractor walk into the Winter Garden so went straight up to him and won,'' said Jim, as anther film fan turned up at the scene, just minutes too late.

"I've never been to a premiere before. This is going to be great."

The Extractor is in Sheffield all day and there will be another chance for a film fan to win the Londong break and VIP red carpet tickets for two, by quoting the password.
