Festive run for epilepsy charity

A WOMAN with epilepsy is getting into the festive spirit with a charity race.

Alison Burgin, 38, of Rotherham has signed up to take part in a Santa Dash taking place this weekend for Epilepsy Action UK.

She will be among 8,000 runners taking on the 5k challenge in Liverpool’s city centre on Sunday.

Alison, who has been epileptic for 22 years, said: “The run will be a challenge, but also good fun and it is all for a great cause. Epilepsy Action has given me lots of information over the years and recently advised me on insurance for when I travel.”

The money Alison raises will help the charity campaigns to improve epilepsy services and raise awareness.
