CROWDS flocked to a Victorian Christmas Market in north Derbyshire – with visitors get ting into the festive spirit in the run up to the big day.
Organisers of the event at Staveley Hall arranged for 50 food and craft stalls, offering gift ideas to shoppers.
Christmas trees and wreaths were also on sale at the market.
But for children the highlight of the day was when Father Christmas ditched Rudolph and co and made his arrival at the festive market in a fire engine.
He waved at children and spread his Christmas cheer as he made his way to his grotto, where children could visit to talk to him about the gifts they hope to receive on Christmas Day.
Today, a free Christmas Festival and lantern parade was being held in Bolsover town and castle from noon.
