Offices at Yorkshire Water have been transformed into Christmas grottos as Santa’s little helpers get ready to donate gifts to community groups across the region.
Staff members have donated 26 toys for the Sheffield YWCA as part of its Cares at Christmas initiative.
All 26 have been lovingly wrapped by staff full of festive cheer.
The scheme sees workers at the utility company donate old and new toys as well as food to make up hundreds of hampers which are distributed to seven different community groups.
The Sheffield YWCA works with young women and children, primarily through professionally-supported accommodation and support services.
Through one-to-one relationships, the organisation assists young women to achieve their highest potential as they grow to become confident, individual, competent parents and fully-contributing members of the community.
Christine Fisher, from Yorkshire Water, said staff members had been amazingly generous.
She said: “The generosity of employees this year has been overwhelming, with lots also giving up their time to help wrap and deliver the hampers.
“This year we’ve been able to donate 150 food hampers to local charities along with 364 new toys.
“On top of this we were able to provide items of food and toys to a range of other organisations.
“I’m delighted with the response and hope this small gesture will make a big difference for many this Christmas. A huge thanks to everyone who donated.”
