RESIDENTS were out in force to enjoy Firth Park’s annual Christmas Festival.
Guests at the event included Brightside and Hillsborough MP David Blunkett, who switched on the suburb’s festive lights, and cast members from both the Lyceum’s pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, plus Firth Park Community Theatre group’s show Olivia.
There was music from Chaucer School’s steel band and carol singing with the Glee Bah Gum choir.
Other attractions included Santa’s grotto, wreath making, hot chestnuts, doughnuts and mulled wine
Visitors to the event also enjoyed music from a fairground organ, rides, a lantern parade and fireworks.
