workshops in Braille - open to people with no sight problems as well as the visually impaired - take place in Sheffield this weekend.
Taster sessions are being held at The University of Sheffield’s International Language Festival on Saturday and Sunday.
Braille workshops will be presented by Alan Thorpe, who runs training for local charity the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind.
Alan said Braille was useful for people who were visually impaired, others who support them and anybody interested in learning the communication tool.
Tickets for the festival cost £2 a day, or £3 for a weekend ticket, and are available from Sheffield Students’ Union Box Office, or by logging on to www.thelanguagefestival.co.uk
