RUNNERS are being urged to sign up for Whirlow Hall Farm Trust’s big weekend of races.

Events are starting and finishing at the farm - and include a short farm-themed fun run, junior three kilometre race, 10 kilometre, 12.12 mile trail race and the 56.5 mile New Balance Ultra Tour of the Peak District.

The runs are being held over the bank holiday weekend of August 25 to 27.

Lisa Clowes, of Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, said: “There is still space for more entries if you’re feeling inspired to get out there after our golden girl Jessica Ennis’s Olympic performance.

“We’re guaranteeing entry to future races for those who run this year.”

Entry fees for the races are £3 for the farm-themed fun run and three kilometre run, £12 for the 10k race, £15 for the 12.12 mile Trail Race and £75 for the Ultra Tour event.

Money raised will support the farm trust and its educational work with Sheffield youngsters.

The closing date for entries is Friday, August 17. For more information visit www.bigrunningweekend.co.uk
