FOOTBALL fans from as far as the UK and Finland are heading to Sheffield to watch the world’s oldest derby match at the world’s oldest ground.
On Monday at 3pm, Hallam FC are hosting Sheffield FC at their Sandygate pitch - as the finale of the ground’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
Dave Atkin, of Hallam FC, said: “The match has tweaked the imagination of football fanatics from around the globe. There are only a very few seat tickets left at £15 and £12 for concessions. The standing tickets are £10 and £7 for concessions.”
Visitors are also travelling to the match from across the UK, from Chorley to Cardiff and Liverpool to Maidenhead.
Tickets can be bought online at theoldestfootballgroundintheworld.com for collection on the gate. Any leftover tickets will be available on the gate on the day.
