Dave Glover and Lee Mortimer organised a charity fundraising night, at Sprotbrough Country Club, in aid of the Luey Jacob Sharp Foundation, which was set up by Rovers striker Billy Sharp after the tragic death of his son in October.
Billy, his partner Jade and fellow Rovers players George Friend, Gary Woods and Martin Woods all attended the evening.
The event included and auction which consisted of a Larry Holmes signed photo, a signed Rovers shirt and a pairs of Billy’s boots which eventually sold for £350.
Dave and Lee presented Billy with a cheque for £1,000 at the club’s home ground, the Keepmoat Stadium.
Dave said he was delighted with the success of the event and was now considering running something similar in the new year.
