a FAMILY fun day is to be held in Sheffield in memory of a 26-year-old man crushed to death at work.
Big Dave’s Family Fun Day has been organised by friends and relatives of David Roberts, who died in an accident at work in June 2010.
Dave, from Fox Hill, was working at Forgemasters on Brightside Lane when a steel cast became dislodged from an overhead crane and crashed to the ground.
A fun day held in his memory last year proved such a success a second one is to be held in Sunday, August 26 at the Jubilee Sports and Social Club Claywheels Lane.
Money raised at the event will be donated to Hallam FM’s Cast for Kids appeal.
There will be trampolines, inflatables, face painting, a penalty shoot-out, a falconry display, go karts and stalls.
