GORGEOUS grub and tasty treats were served up by parents and children at a Big Lunch event held at a Sheffield community centre.
The cookery session organised by Sharrow Community Forum at the old junior school was one of a series held all over the country.
Over 100 people came along to cook their own meals with the forum providing a range of tasty ingredients.
“It was a chance to get together, meet the neighbours and prepare things like kebabs, flatbreads, burgers and salads,” said community work director Colin Havard.
“It tied in with our Cook Along sessions which we hold twice a month and which also get people together in a similar way. We also had a cake competition.”
The event, which is expected to be held again next year, also featured a variety of entertainment including musicians, a magician, a children’s film show and fire jugglers.
